Name: Pat Birthday: 7/3/1987 Gender: Male
Interests: ok... I'm a sound techie at the Mary Harrison Center... also play with lights, fly, spot... I play the tenor and bari saxes, though I own neither, and I'm not really that great, but... tis good enough to play Soul Man! I'm also in marching band, and wish I played paintball more than I do... Expertise: I'm a techie... without us, the actors would be naked, in the dark, with no sound. well... no sound, and in the dark... as for naked, that's a costume thing, but they wouldn't have a set!
as mentioned above... saxes are mah thing, though again.. not great at them Occupation: Student Industry: Entertainment

| so... where to start whoever designed the towson shopping center parking garage... gah
and... buddy met his match.. this jeep could have eaten the poor boy...
oh yeah... and these were some pretty screwed up cars
yes, if you're wondering, it WAS indeed dragging on the ground... and when it's going 65-70mph, it's kinda scary
oh... so today in scenography... yeah... Kaplan loves to give me the randomest projects i mean, 2 classes ago, my first assignment was to make a phone call and... so today he started class by saying "here, go get yourself some 3/4" ply and make this" and handed me this piece of paper
and I was like... "oh... ok" so half an hour later, I had this
and... I never got a picture of the final piece, but I drilled out a bit of the trigger and sanded down all the edges... which took another half hour
and then I handed it to kaplan, and he introduced me to... that lady... in charge of costumes and he was like "yeah, this is pat, our linehan scholar... he'll be doing lights, sound, set... and whatever else we throw on him" they had been discussing cutting out this pattern thing... a stencil for wallpaper design and... so after she left, Kaplan turned to me and said "go grab a piece of masonite to put this on and cut it out"
so... yeah... I had to cut two thicknesses, cuz it was mirrored...
and... yeah... that was all done with a box cutter... we have no xacto knives on hand... so... I worked on some random projects anyways, tis time for my homework till later, this is the life of pat
| hehe... I'm totally never going to update the picture on this xanga I'll be young forever!!! anyways, this post is kinda... i dunno...
anyways so thursday I was sick like... puking and such that sucked but it was over by midday and then I went to a job interview and I got the job! so... I'm going to be working for Commons Operations: Event Crew... basically... it's like all the work I used to do in the MHC... and it has a 50 cent raise over the MHC! damn Kristina, I know you probably get like 10 an hour... poor UMBC and our 7.50 hehe and our lack of a performing arts center... I think ours is sleighted for... like... 2016 or something way not now but... so yeah... commons operations... we set up assemblies and basically everything technical that happens from kareoke to punk rock, that isn't in the theatre hehe... I'll work in the theatre a lot, but... I wanted somehting more often, and as a freshman, they're not goina let me work crew for any shows yet...
THOUGH
I did work crew for a show... it was great... called OM (Objects in Motion)... basically, it was a puppet show with trash I was a stage hand got roped into it 2 days before class began and... yeah... so through that, I met like... all my tech professors, and life was good... oh, and my drama lit professor... hehe... you know... I think the one thing I still kinda envy about CSPAC were... the rolling carts of lights like... "oh, yeah, I'm taking these 40 source 4s around the block" hehe our theatre's lights are all in this little closet... it's really cute it's also like... packed hehe... probably something like 200 lights I guess I like the idea of working in a gheto theatre... we screw into the stage to our hearts desire!!! though we don't have an actual fly... just some gheto-rigged stuff they welded together hehe but... ok, i feel like i'm talking dirrectly to someone and... that's not xanga so pat stops now hope life is good for everyone else! patrick

| so... as this point, I kind of wonder if this entry is futile... well, what's been going on since my last post... that was at fiddler... took my AP tests.,.,. which i got the following scores: Lit:3, no help Physics C E+M: 2, what do you think? Calc BC: 3, AB subset 4, useful Psych: 4, useful had prom... that was fun graduated... that was fun summer began... which meant going back to the mary harrison for more dance studios... not as fun as it should have been... abigal's production of peter pan... went... not so well... other dance studios also had accidents, but they were primarilly just music issues... no smoke and embers... what else... watched the end of the world cup... glad deutschland got 3rd italy got 1st... and after one of france's players headbutted an italian, i really didn't care if france lost... jackie's party went well... that was happy and... now, i'm home... i'm home a lot this summer... being home is not good for me it gives me time to sit around be lazy and think thinking isn't good it always just brings me back to unhappy topics things that I dwell on the pains that can't be forgotten the self-inflicted pains of the past which shadow my future being with people help take away the pain... sad thing is... i don't know if i want it to go away for good...
